The 42nd Annual Jonesville Riverfest has officially ended. Now on to 2017!
May 20, 21, and 22, 2016 ~ Downtown Jonesville
Always held the 3rd weekend in May, Riverfest celebrates Jonesville's connection to the St. Joseph River, an integral part of the town's early history that helped make it a center of commerce in Hillsdale County. Held at multiple venues throughout Downtown Jonesville, Riverfest is organized and run by a dedicated group of volunteers who partner with many area organizations and local businesses to host this Family Friendly event.
A triathlon, canoe and kayak races, car/bike show, antique tractor/snowmobile show, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, duck derby, carnival rides, arts and crafts, chicken BBQ, and live music, are just a few of the weekend's fun happenings! Download the Event Flyer or follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on all things Riverfest 2016.
Help Riverfest Run ~ Volunteer Opportunities
River Rat Cleanup ~ May 14
Each year on the Saturday prior to Riverfest, the River Rat volunteers spend a half day sprucing up the park area along the St. Joseph River. They plant flowers, spread mulch, pick up trash and get the park looking its best for Riverfest. Interested in being a River Rat? All we need is Four (4) hours of your time and a completed Volunteer Form. As our way of saying thanks for your participation,, River Rat volunteers receive lunch on us and an official River Rat 2016 T-shirt.
Triathlon and Canoe/Kayak Races ~ May 20, 21, 22
The Triathlon and Canoe/Kayak Races are the classic events that launched Jonesville Riverfest. Help us ensure the races continue as part of this great community event when you contribute just a few hours of your time as a Race Volunteer. Be a race spotter, help register participants, tabulate race results and announce winners, load and unload canoes, and help with Friday afternoon set-up and Sunday afternoon tear down..
Two (2) and Four (4) hour shifts are available. We appreciate you spending part of your day supporting Riverfest and all volunteers who complete their assigned shift receive an official Riverfest 2016 T-shirt. Call Lenore Spahr at 517-398-3544 on or before May 1, to secure your preferred shift.
